Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Hospital
It was established within the Faculty of Medicine on November 24, 1999, and started accepting patients in its outpatient clinic in January 2002 and in its inpatient services in January 2003. Our activities, which started in the old Vocational Health High School building, continued with the inpatient service, operating room, intensive care and other units at the Ali Şevki Erek Campus with two new buildings opened at the beginning of 2010.

With the awareness of a healthcare institution providing tertiary healthcare services, it analyzes the healthcare needs of the region in the best possible way and makes healthcare investments by taking into account the ever-increasing patient demands in our center. In the second half of 2013, the chemical treatment unit started to accept patients, and on 03.01.2014, a delivery room (with 4 labor rooms), a pediatric emergency room and, with the approval of the governorship dated 15.01.2014, a new 2nd level pediatric intensive care unit (12 beds) with 9 beds were opened. Doğan intensive care unit has increased its capacity and provides services with a total of 21 beds, including 16 registered tertiary care and 5 secondary care beds. Radiation Oncology and Nuclear Medicine units were made available to the people of the region and surrounding provinces in the first half of 2014, and together with the radiation oncology and nuclear medicine center; For end-stage cancer patients; The palliative care center studies were carried out together, the palliative care center was established with the decision of the Senate of our University on 24.01.2014/01.03, and it completed the training studies with its staff consisting of our faculty members and other Health Personnel, along with the interior arrangement works, and started to provide service as of the second half of 2015. Registration procedures were completed by the Ministry of Health towards the end of 2016. The 400-bed C Block services building, the construction of which started on 19.11.2013, increased the total closed area from 25500 m² to 32000 m² (sitting area 4756 m2, including H block) and the number of beds was increased to 501, and started to serve after the second half of 2016.

Our value-producing University serves with approximately 142 faculty members and 284 Research Assistants, for a healthier life and society as an institution; In addition to providing the highest quality health service to the society by putting our resources, investments, efforts and projects in the most efficient way, our aim is to educate the undergraduate and medical specialty students of our Faculty in the best way possible as doctors and specialists of the future and to prepare them for the future equipped with human values.
501 patient beds and 103 intensive care beds in 2023,
In 2019, while we were providing service with 501 patient beds, 88 intensive care beds (the number of registered beds is 585), 12 Palliative Care beds and 601 patient beds in reality, with the physical arrangement made in the number of intensive care and palliative beds with the increasing patient demand, the number of beds increased to 513 including our palliative care beds. By increasing the number of patient beds to 519 and the number of intensive care beds from 88 to 96 beds, a registration was obtained for a total of 615 beds and started to provide service. We are planning to put 14 stage III intensive care beds, which have already been registered, into service along with the space allocation.
As of 2023, we continue to provide service with 501 patient beds, 103 intensive care beds, 18 palliative care beds, with a total of 622 patient beds.
