There are currently two associate professors and two Drs in the Department of Medical Biochemistry at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Medicine. Our faculty members contribute greatly to education by giving “Medical Biochemistry” theoretical and practical courses to thousands of students, especially in the first three semesters of our Faculty of Medicine, the first two semesters of the Faculty of Dentistry, and other faculties and colleges of our university that provide education in the field of health.
Medical Specialization Training in our department has been provided since 2004, and many of our students who graduated as specialist physicians are providing successful services as specialist physicians or academicians in various hospitals and universities of our country. We currently have 3 medical specialty students who are continuing their education.
Many of our graduates who graduated from the Medical Biochemistry Master’s and Doctorate programs affiliated with the Graduate Education Institute have entered academic life at home and abroad and successfully represent our faculty and department. There are currently 13 master’s and 3 doctoral students continuing their education.
In our department research laboratory, both our students’ applied laboratory courses and multidisciplinary research studies are carried out with Spectrophotometric, ELISA, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, RT-PCR and Cell Culture methods, thus making great contributions to the existing literature. To date, many articles have been published in national and international journals and continue to be published.
In addition to all these academic and educational activities within the Faculty of Medicine, our faculty members work in the Biochemistry Department of Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Medicine Hospital Central Laboratory and carry out the daily results of routine biochemistry, hormone, hematological and urine tests of our patients.
